RETROGAME 1991 Over The Net Genias Dino Olivieri.
In Over the Net you can play Volleyball matches lasting 1, 3 or 5 sets, with each set being won by the first player to reach 15 points. Teams include the Rollers, CoCo, the Beach Boys (obvious pun in their name) and the in-house Geniases. The action is viewed from the side, with the full court visible. When fire is not pressed, joystick motions move your player in this direction; when it is, they attempt to hit the ball in that direction. As in real volleyball, the ball hitting the ground on your side of the net, or going out of bounds without bouncing, costs you a point.

Da DVG – Il Dizionario dei Videogiochi

Software house italiana fondata da Riccardo Arioti (ex Simulmondo) caratterizzata da una produzione molto differenziata fra cui spiccano alcuni fra i migliori giochi sportivi realizzati nel nostro paese, come il calcistico ”World Cup ’90”, l’automobilistico ”Warm Up” e ”Over the Net”, ambientato nel mondo del beach volley.
Autrice della conversione per Commodore 64 del platform game di origine inglese ”Chuck Rock” e di un’avventura nominata ”Mystere”, la Genias si è differenziata dalle altre società italiane, anche producendo un solo tie-in, il buon ”Nathan Never” tratto dal fumetto fantascientifico della Sergio Bonelli Editore.
Dalla fine del 1994 di questa software house non si sà più nulla…
